When I decided I wanted to do a triathlon I knew I would need a bike. One of my co-workers husbands bought this and never road it so I picked it up from them. While it's touring bike and not a triathlon/racing bike I used it my first three years in the sport.

Specialized Bicycle
Specialized 1991 Rockhopper Comp
This was my first bike I purchased after graduating from college. I was working downtown Columbus and living near Ohio State Campus so first thoughts were to get a bike that I could use to commute to work and avoid the high costs of daily downtown parking. The bike was considered a hybrid but leaned a little toward the mountain bike side with the wider nubby tires, however, it was a solid frame without any suspension. I had a lot of fun riding weekends along the Olentangy River both on the paved bike trail as well as the off road dirt trails as well.
